When we started to put this site together, our original idea was to review and promote grind and brew coffee makers and highlight the good and the bad, hopefully leaving those of you looking for a good maker to make an informed choice (and hopefully if you clicked through our link make some commission on the side)

However while carrying out research we found so much interesting stuff about coffee and its place in our lives, our culture and our history that we decided to broaden our scope. We’ll still obviously carry out our original intent to highlight the best grind and brew coffee makers from top manufacturers like Cuisinart and Krups, but we’ve decided to create some content that we hope you’ll find interesting and unique.
